We planned to do a photoshoot of the ‘Garbo’ top the day after I was making it. Having completed the top with a couple of hours to spare I decided to make a matching skirt that would make the top look like a dress.
Pattern printed…
Transferred onto latex, including seam alignment marks.
Cut out.
I’ve left an excess at the top and bottom of each panel so that final edge can be cut in a clean line after construction.
All seams cleaned glued and protected with clingfilm tape.
I’ve laser cut a slit into the back piece. I’m not going to use any reinforcement at the top of the slit as the laser cut curve is very resistant to tearing. If you use a hand cut slit then reinforcement should be added.
Back panels attached.
Front panels attached.
All seams closed. Ready for final trimming of the waist edge and hem.
